[[ScreenConnect]] is a remote access application. Similar to [[TeamViewer]], but somehow has avoided [[Enshittification]] over the years. [[ConnectWise]] purchased [[ScreenConnect]] many moons ago, and while they have integrated it for billing and identity management purposes, it remains relatively standalone in their product stack. It is the best application I've used for remote access by far. It is hard to exactly quantify why, however, the speed at which it works and gets out of your way to let you achieve your goal is impressive. It by far outstrips the usual competitors. Performance aside, some of the standout features include - ScreenConnect - Backstage - extremely useful for working on or via a machine without affecting the console or in use session - Basically let's you run on a seperate session for any machine that is online and connected, without notification or disruption to the owner. - Sick of calling a team member at a site to use the web browser via their computer to configure a printer or check event viewer? Just log into backstage and get it done without them even knowing. - ScreenConnect - Toolbox Usage - useful for putting scripts or applications that will autocopy over and be run on the device. - Handy applications like [[Wiztree]] Or other disk space review applications. - ScreenConnect - Host Pass - generates a temporary link to the device that others can use for access. Eg, a new device that has been run up, but you want the user to connect and check it first before shipping.
