Nutanix [[HCI]] is a hypervisor and hosting technology, with a greater focus on tiered storage and distributed resources. More so than other [[hypervisor]]'s at least.
I've had a decent [[Experience]] working with Nutanix servers, assuming they use the native [[Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV)]] by [[Nutanix]], rather than the [[Hyper V]] [[hypervisor]].
I do not see much value in using the [[Hyper V]] backend if you decide to deploy [[Nutanix]], it takes away 80% of the functionality and usefulness.

The selling point is that it is extremely easy to use, because it has a modern GUI through a web interface.
As opposed to [[VMWare ESXi]] or [[Hyper V]], which can be a little less user friendly, and require more experience to do basic tasks.
Many of the same functions can be completed in any of these systems, however [[Nutanix]] has put more effort in to moving complex or hard features into easier to manage and understand interfaces.
